Introduction

Welcome to SoundNativ's Privacy Policy. This document explains how we ("SoundNativ," "us," or "our") handle your information when you use our website at soundnativ.com and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Email address — collected when you submit your email to receive your accent profile, create an account, or purchase a subscription.

Audio recordings — short voice clips you record while practicing pronunciation exercises. These recordings are processed by our speech analysis engine to generate your pronunciation scores and feedback, and are retained for performance measurement purposes for 30 days before being automatically deleted from our storage.

Device identifiers — anonymous device IDs (such as advertising identifiers, installation IDs, and device fingerprints) used to recognize your device across sessions, attribute installs and purchases to the correct user, prevent fraud, and personalize your experience.

Quiz responses — your answers to the accent assessment (native language, situations, personality type, and pronunciation scores).

Usage and diagnostic data — automatically collected information including IP address, browser type, operating system, device model, pages visited, in-app events, crash reports, and session duration.

Payment and subscription information — processed securely by Stripe and RevenueCat. We never store full card details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver your personalized accent profile and training plan
  • To notify you when SoundNativ launches
  • To process early access payments
  • To improve our product and user experience
  • To send transactional and product update emails (you may unsubscribe anytime)

3. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with the following third-party providers so they can perform services on our behalf. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and processes data only for the purposes described below.

  • Stripe — payment processing (email, billing details, payment metadata)
  • RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement tracking across platforms (anonymous user IDs, device IDs, purchase history)
  • Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting (diagnostic data, stack traces, device and OS information, anonymous user identifiers)
  • Amplitude — product analytics (in-app events, device IDs, session data, and anonymous user identifiers used to understand how the product is used)
  • Google — Google Analytics for web usage analytics, Google Sign-In for authentication, and Google advertising services for conversion measurement (IP address, device identifiers, advertising IDs, and event data)
  • Facebook (Meta) — Facebook Pixel and Conversions API for conversion tracking and ad optimization (hashed email, device IDs, and event data)
  • Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps
  • MongoDB Atlas — data storage
  • Cloudflare R2 — temporary storage of audio recordings (auto-deleted after 30 days)

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Audio recordings are stored for up to 30 days and then automatically deleted from our servers.
  • Account data (email, quiz responses, pronunciation scores, subscription state) is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Device identifiers and analytics events are retained according to each analytics provider's default retention window (typically 14 to 26 months).
  • Payment and billing records are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically up to 7 years).

5. Your Rights & Deletion Process

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for processing at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account."

Within 30 days of receiving a verified request we will: (1) delete your account, email, quiz responses, and pronunciation history from our database; (2) delete any audio recordings still stored in Cloudflare R2; and (3) instruct our third-party processors (Sentry, Amplitude, RevenueCat, Google, Facebook) to delete personal data associated with your account, subject to records we are legally required to keep (such as payment records for tax purposes).
